THE TOOLKIT
Line/Bar Charts
- Label and explain your X and Y-axis.
- Framed rectangles, as opposed to lines, are easier to understand.
- Vertical formats are easier to understand over horizontal images.
- Use the same scale in multiple charts.
- Limit curves on a line graph to two or three data curves.
- Bar graphs are more easily understood than pie charts.
- Don’t compare more than five items on a chart.
